Akaze Dam
The Akaze Dam is a concrete gravity dam located on the Tenryū River in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. It serves primarily for hydroelectric power generation and flood control. Construction of the dam was completed in 1958. The dam is part of a series of dams along the Tenryū River, contributing to the overall water management and power production of the region. It has a height of approximately 62 meters and a crest length of around 190 meters. The Akaze Dam plays a role in regulating the flow of the Tenryū River, mitigating flood risks in downstream areas and providing a reliable source of electricity.
