Black Out the Sun (album)

Black Out the Sun is the fourth studio album by the American metalcore band Sevendust. It was released on April 26, 2013, in Europe and April 30, 2013, in North America. It is their first album released under their new record label, Asylum Records.

The album's title is said to represent overcoming adversity and finding light in dark times. It was produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette, who had previously worked with bands such as Alter Bridge and Falling in Reverse.

The first single from the album, "Decay," was released in February 2013. Other notable tracks include "Picture Perfect" and "Memory." Black Out the Sun debuted at number 18 on the Billboard 200 chart, making it Sevendust's highest-charting album since 2007's Alpha. The album received generally positive reviews, with critics praising the band's heavier sound and strong songwriting.
