Shearwater (band)

Shearwater is an American indie rock band based in Austin, Texas. Formed in 1999, the band's core members have historically been Jonathan Meiburg and Kimberly Burke.

History:

Shearwater originated as a side project of Okkervil River, another band Meiburg co-founded. Initially, the band served as an outlet for Meiburg's more experimental and quieter compositions. Over time, Shearwater developed its own distinct identity and gained increasing prominence.
