Cape Barrow (Nunavut)
Cape Barrow is a cape located in the Kivalliq Region of Nunavut, Canada, on the mainland coast of Hudson Bay. It marks the northernmost extent of mainland Nunavut. The area is characterized by low-lying tundra and coastal features typical of the Hudson Bay lowlands. The surrounding waters are typically ice-covered for a significant portion of the year. Due to its remote location and harsh climate, Cape Barrow is sparsely populated and primarily accessed by Inuit communities engaged in traditional hunting and fishing practices. The cape is significant as a geographical marker and for its ecological importance as habitat for various Arctic wildlife.
