Glenmore (Jefferson City, Tennessee)
Glenmore is a historic residential neighborhood located in Jefferson City, Tennessee, United States. It is situated on a hill overlooking the city and Cherokee Lake (formerly the Holston River). The neighborhood is characterized by its large, stately homes built primarily in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, representing a variety of architectural styles including Queen Anne, Victorian, and Colonial Revival.
Glenmore was developed as a prestigious residential area for prominent citizens of Jefferson City, including business leaders, politicians, and educators associated with Carson-Newman University.
