Ye Qiaobo

Ye Qiaobo (叶乔波, born November 3, 1963) is a retired Chinese speed skater. She is considered one of China's most successful winter athletes, paving the way for future generations in the sport.

Ye Qiaobo specialized in the short track speed skating events. She gained prominence in the late 1980s and early 1990s, representing China in several Winter Olympic Games. Her most notable achievements occurred at the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics, where she won two silver medals in the 500m and 1000m events. Despite suffering from injuries, she persevered, becoming a national hero. She also won a bronze medal in the 500m at the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics.

Beyond the Olympics, Ye Qiaobo achieved success in other international competitions, including World Championships and World Cups.

After retiring from competitive speed skating, Ye Qiaobo remained involved in the sport, contributing to its development in China as a coach and administrator.
