George Steel (Manitoba politician)
George Steel (1859 – 1921) was a politician in Manitoba, Canada. He served in the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba from 1914 to 1915, representing the constituency of Cypress as a Conservative.
Steel was born in Peel County, Ontario. He worked as a farmer before entering politics. He contested the Cypress constituency in the 1914 provincial election and defeated Liberal candidate George Clingan. He served a single term, losing to Clingan in the 1915 election, which saw a landslide victory for the Liberals under T.C. Norris. He died in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
