No. 16 Squadron (Finland)

No. 16 Squadron, also known as LeLv 16 (Lentolaivue 16), was a fighter squadron of the Finnish Air Force during World War II. It operated primarily Fokker D.XXI and later Brewster Buffalo fighters. The squadron participated in the Winter War, the Continuation War, and the Lapland War. Its main area of operation was in the southern regions of Finland, defending against Soviet air attacks. LeLv 16 was disbanded after the end of World War II as part of the post-war reorganization of the Finnish Air Force.
