Richard Snowden (judge)
Richard Snowden is a judge who sits on the Court of Appeal of England and Wales. He was appointed on 11 January 2016. Prior to his appointment to the Court of Appeal, he was a Justice of the High Court of England and Wales, assigned to the Chancery Division, a position he held from 2011.
His legal career prior to becoming a judge was primarily focused on insolvency law. He practiced as a barrister from 1987, becoming a Queen's Counsel (QC) in 1999. He was a member of Erskine Chambers.
Snowden has also been involved in academic work, serving as a visiting professor at the London School of Economics. He has written and lectured extensively on insolvency and company law.
