George King (rugby league)

George King (born 7 January 1995) is a professional rugby league footballer who plays as a prop and loose forward for the Wakefield Trinity in the Betfred Championship.

He previously played for the Warrington Wolves (Heritage № 1135) in the Super League, and on loan from Warrington at the Rochdale Hornets, North Wales Crusaders and Huddersfield Giants. He also played for the Toronto Wolfpack, Hull Kingston Rovers (loan), and the Salford Red Devils in the Super League. King has represented Ireland at international level.

Playing Career

King began his career at the Warrington Wolves, making his Super League debut in 2014. He spent time on loan at various clubs to gain experience before establishing himself as a regular in the Warrington first team. In 2018, he joined the Toronto Wolfpack in the Championship, playing a key role in their promotion to Super League in 2019. Following Toronto's withdrawal from Super League in 2020, King signed for Hull Kingston Rovers on loan before joining the Salford Red Devils. He signed for Wakefield Trinity in 2024.

International Career

George King has represented Ireland at international level, playing in the Rugby League World Cup and other international fixtures. He has been a key player for the Irish national team.
