Fritzens

Fritzens is a municipality in the district of Innsbruck-Land in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It is located approximately 14 kilometers east of Innsbruck. The village is situated on the southern bank of the Inn River.

Fritzens is known for its archaeological significance, specifically the discovery of significant Bronze Age artifacts. The "Kultwagen von Fritzens-Sanzeno" (Cult Wagon of Fritzens-Sanzeno), a bronze cult wagon found in the area, is a particularly notable find, indicating ritual practices dating back to the Urnfield culture.

The economy of Fritzens is largely based on agriculture and small businesses. Tourism plays a smaller role compared to other Tyrolean villages. The municipality is well-connected to the regional transport network.
