Tuymaada

Tuymaada is a valley in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia), Russia. It is the most densely populated area in Yakutia and is centered around the Lena River. The city of Yakutsk, the capital of Sakha Republic, is located within the Tuymaada Valley. The valley is known for its relatively fertile lands (compared to the surrounding permafrost environment) which are used for agriculture and livestock raising, contributing to the sustenance of the local population. The valley's name derives from Yakut mythology and holds cultural significance for the Yakut people. It represents an important agricultural and population center within the vast and sparsely populated region of Yakutia.
