Wang Jie (footballer, born 1982)

Wang Jie (Chinese: 王杰; born December 15, 1982) is a former Chinese professional footballer. He primarily played as a defender.

Career

Wang Jie began his football career playing for Tianjin Locomotive in 2002. He transferred to Tianjin Teda in 2004, making his debut in the Chinese Super League that same year. Over the following seasons, he established himself as a consistent presence in the team's defense. He was known for his tackling ability and aerial presence. Wang Jie remained with Tianjin Teda for several years, contributing to their success in domestic competitions.

Honours

While with Tianjin Teda, Wang Jie was part of the squad that won the Chinese FA Cup in 2011.
