Frank Davis (American football)
Frank Davis (born October 19, 1959) is a former professional American football player. He played wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons, from 1981 to 1987.
Davis was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the second round of the 1981 NFL Draft. He played for the Chiefs for three seasons (1981-1983). He subsequently played for the Chicago Bears (1984-1986) where he was a member of the Super Bowl XX winning team. His final season was with the San Francisco 49ers in 1987.
Davis attended Louisiana State University (LSU) where he played college football. During his time at LSU, he was a standout receiver, known for his speed and ability to make difficult catches.
While his professional career stats may not place him among the all-time greats, he was a solid contributor on multiple teams and achieved the pinnacle of success in the NFL with a Super Bowl victory.
