Baraqiel is an angel whose name appears in various apocryphal and pseudepigraphal texts, primarily of the Hebrew Bible and related traditions. The spelling of the name varies, also appearing as Baraqel, Baraqiyal, and Baraqi'el.

In the Book of Enoch, Baraqiel is listed as one of the leaders of the 200 fallen angels, also known as the Watchers, who descended to Mount Hermon and swore an oath to corrupt humanity by interbreeding with human women. He is associated with the teaching of astrology to humankind, a transgression that contributed to the great flood.

Other traditions associate Baraqiel with blessings and lightning. The name itself, derived from Hebrew, can be interpreted as "lightning of God" or "blessing of God," reflecting this dual nature. However, the context within the Book of Enoch firmly places him on the side of those angels who deviated from divine will.
