Joe Frans
Joe Frans (born April 24, 1965) is a Canadian politician. He served as a Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) in the Ontario Legislative Assembly from 1999 to 2011, representing the riding of Mississauga West.
Frans was first elected in the 1999 provincial election as a member of the Liberal Party. He served in various roles within the Ontario government, including Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Consumer and Commercial Relations and Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Education. He also served as the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration and Minister of Government Services.
During his time in office, Frans focused on issues such as education, immigration, and government efficiency. He was involved in initiatives aimed at improving student achievement, streamlining government processes, and supporting newcomers to Ontario.
Frans lost his seat in the 2011 provincial election.
