Carlo Conti (cardinal)
Carlo Conti (1556 – 3 December 1615) was an Italian Roman Catholic cardinal.
Born in Rome to the noble Conti family, Carlo Conti held several important ecclesiastical positions before being elevated to the cardinalate. He was the nephew of Pope Gregory XIV.
Conti served as the Bishop of Ancona e Umana from 1594 until his resignation in 1610.
Pope Paul V elevated him to the rank of Cardinal-Priest in the consistory of 9 June 1604. He was assigned the titular church of San Vitale.
He participated in the papal conclave of 1605 which elected Pope Leo XI and the subsequent conclave later that same year which elected Pope Paul V.
Cardinal Conti died in 1615 and was buried in the basilica of Santi Apostoli in Rome.
