Cyrtandra (plant)

Cyrtandra is a genus of flowering plants in the family Gesneriaceae, native to Southeast Asia, Melanesia, and Polynesia, with a particularly high concentration of species in Hawaii. It is one of the largest genera within the Gesneriaceae family.

Description

Cyrtandra species exhibit a wide range of growth habits, encompassing trees, shrubs, vines, and even epiphytes. Their leaves are typically opposite, though some species display alternate or whorled arrangements.
