Nick Paul

Nick Paul (born March 20, 1995) is a Canadian professional ice hockey forward currently playing for the Tampa Bay Lightning of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Born in Mississauga, Ontario, Paul was drafted 101st overall by the Dallas Stars in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. He played junior hockey with the North Bay Battalion of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) before turning professional.

Paul made his NHL debut with the Ottawa Senators on February 6, 2016. He played several seasons with the Senators organization, splitting time between the NHL and the American Hockey League (AHL). He was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning in March 2022.

Paul is known for his size, physicality, and versatility. He is capable of playing both center and wing, and is often used in a checking role. He contributed significantly to the Lightning's playoff success in 2022, including scoring two goals in Game 7 of their first-round series against the Toronto Maple Leafs. He signed a long-term contract extension with the Lightning following their playoff run.
