Thomas Cole (dean of Norwich)

Thomas Cole (died 1614) was an English clergyman and academic who served as Dean of Norwich. He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford, matriculating in 1564 and becoming a Fellow in 1568. He obtained his B.A. in 1567 and his M.A. in 1572. He held the position of Dean of Norwich Cathedral from 1589 until his death in 1614. During his tenure as Dean, Cole was involved in the administration and upkeep of the cathedral, as well as participating in the religious life of the diocese. He is also known to have possessed a notable library. He was succeeded as Dean by John Jegon.
