William Shaw (Quebec politician)
William Shaw (born c. 1840, died 1911) was a Quebec farmer and politician. He served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Quebec for Pontiac from 1897 to 1904, representing the Liberal Party.
Shaw was born in the Ottawa Valley. He was a farmer by trade and active in local politics before entering provincial politics. During his tenure as MLA for Pontiac, he was involved in debates surrounding regional development and agricultural policy. He served under Premier Félix-Gabriel Marchand and Premier Simon-Napoléon Parent. He did not seek re-election in 1904. Information about his life beyond his political career is limited.
