Filip Dvořák (canoeist)
Filip Dvořák (born July 30, 1975) is a Czech slalom canoeist who competed from the early 1990s to the mid-2000s. Primarily, he competed in the C-2 (Canadian canoe double) class.
Dvořák achieved significant success in canoe slalom, earning multiple medals at the Canoe Slalom World Championships. His achievements include gold medals in the C-2 team event at the 1999 and 2003 championships, and a silver medal in the C-2 event at the 1999 championships. He also earned bronze medals in the C-2 team event at the 1995 and 2006 championships.
He also competed in two Summer Olympics. He finished 6th in the C-2 event at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and 4th in the C-2 event at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.
His partner in the C-2 canoe was Ondřej Pollert for much of his career, although he also partnered with others at various times. Dvořák's career highlights his sustained success in the C-2 category on the international stage.
