Bijou (film)
Bijou is a 1977 American pornographic film directed by Wakefield Poole. The film is notable for being one of the first gay pornographic films to gain a significant level of mainstream attention. It is a non-narrative film consisting primarily of various sexual acts performed by the male cast. The film's music score, composed by Scott Fagan, also garnered attention. Bijou is considered a landmark film within the history of gay pornography, although its artistic merit and ethical considerations regarding the actors' compensation and working conditions have been debated. It was initially released without an MPAA rating due to its explicit content.
