Field Mob

Field Mob was an American hip hop duo from Albany, Georgia, composed of Shawn Timothy Johnson (Shawn Jay) and Darion Crawford (Smoke). They were known for their Southern hip hop style and their affiliation with Disturbing tha Peace, Ludacris' record label.

Field Mob gained mainstream recognition in the early 2000s. Their music often featured catchy hooks and narratives about life in the rural South. They released several albums, including "613: From the Creek to Cali" and "Light Poles and Pine Trees," the latter being their major label debut.

The duo is known for songs such as "All I Know," "Sick of Being Lonely," and "So What," a collaboration with Ciara. Their music often explored themes of poverty, perseverance, and Southern pride.

While Field Mob's activity has lessened in recent years as the members have pursued individual endeavors, they remain a notable act in the history of Southern hip hop.
