Fang Huai

Fang Huai (方槐), also known as Fang Zhengping (方政平) before adopting his official name, was a senior general (Zhong Jiang, 中将) in the People's Liberation Army of the People's Republic of China.

Born in Yiyang County, Jiangxi Province, in 1917, Fang Huai joined the Communist Party of China at a young age and participated in the Long March. He was a veteran of the Second Sino-Japanese War and the Chinese Civil War.

Throughout his military career, Fang Huai held various important positions, including commander of air force units and leadership roles within military academies. He contributed significantly to the development of the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF).

Fang Huai was awarded the rank of Zhong Jiang (Lieutenant General) in 1955. He served as a member of the Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). He is remembered for his contributions to the modernization of the PLA and his long service to the Chinese Communist Party. He passed away in 2015.
