Helicops (video game)
Helicops is a vertically scrolling shoot 'em up video game developed by Bits Laboratory and published by Micro World in 1988. It was originally released for the Sharp X68000 home computer in Japan.
The game puts the player in control of a heavily armed attack helicopter tasked with destroying enemy forces across a variety of levels. Gameplay involves navigating through scrolling landscapes while dodging enemy projectiles and engaging in aerial combat. The player can collect power-ups to enhance their helicopter's firepower and defense capabilities. The objective of each level is generally to defeat waves of enemies and ultimately confront a boss at the end.
Helicops is known for its challenging gameplay, detailed sprite work, and fast-paced action. It is considered a relatively obscure title in the shoot 'em up genre, but it maintains a cult following among fans of classic X68000 games.
