History:

The company's origins trace back to 1898 when Adam Piasecki established a chocolate and confectionery shop in Kraków. Initially named "A. Piasecki Fabryka Cukrów i Czekolady" (A. Piasecki Confectionery and Chocolate Factory), it quickly gained popularity. Over the years, the factory expanded, producing a wide range of sweets, including chocolates, candies, and wafers.

During the communist era in Poland, the company was nationalized and operated under different names. However, it maintained its reputation for quality confectionery.

Following the political and economic transformation in Poland after 1989, the company was privatized and eventually adopted the name Wawel S.A., referencing the historic Wawel Castle in Kraków.
