Mary Flaherty (politician)
Mary Flaherty is an Irish former Fianna Fáil politician. She served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin North-West constituency from 1977 to 1981 and again from 1987 to 1992.
Flaherty was a prominent figure within Fianna Fáil during her time in Dáil Éireann. She held various positions during her political career, including serving as a Minister of State at the Department of Social Welfare from 1987 to 1989 and at the Department of Health from 1989 to 1992.
Her contributions to Irish politics focused significantly on social welfare and health issues. She was known for her advocacy on behalf of vulnerable groups and her work towards improving healthcare access for all citizens.
