Scholastic (Notre Dame publication)
Scholastic is the student-run newsmagazine of the University of Notre Dame. Established in 1867, it is one of the oldest college publications in the United States. Scholastic aims to provide news, feature stories, and commentary relevant to the Notre Dame community, covering topics such as campus life, student government, university administration, arts and culture, and sports. It is published bi-weekly during the academic year in print and maintains an online presence. The magazine is independent of the University administration in its editorial decisions. Scholastic has a long history of student journalism and serves as a training ground for aspiring writers, editors, photographers, and designers. Its content is intended for a diverse audience including current students, faculty, alumni, and the broader Notre Dame community.
