FC Urartu

FC Urartu is an Armenian professional football club based in Yerevan. Founded in 1992, the club has a history of name changes, originally starting as Ararat Yerevan-2 before becoming FC Armavia Yerevan, then FC Pyunik Yerevan, and finally settling on FC Urartu in 2016.

Urartu plays its home matches at the Urartu Stadium in Yerevan. The club has achieved success in Armenian football, winning the Armenian Premier League multiple times, as well as the Armenian Cup and Armenian Supercup. They have also participated in European competitions such as the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.

The club's name, Urartu, refers to the ancient kingdom that existed in the Armenian Highlands during the Iron Age.
