Ed Pabst

Ed Pabst (born Edward Gustav Pabst Jr. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, June 23, 1916; died February 27, 1989, in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin) was an American brewing executive and philanthropist. He was the last member of the Pabst family to lead the Pabst Brewing Company.

Pabst began his career at the brewery in various roles before ascending to leadership positions. He served as president of the company from 1963 to 1973, succeeding his uncle, Harris Perlstein. During his tenure, he oversaw efforts to modernize the brewery's operations and marketing strategies. While he oversaw changes during a competitive period in the brewing industry, the company's market share saw decline during his leadership.

After stepping down as president, Pabst remained involved with the company as Chairman of the Board. Beyond his business career, Pabst was a noted philanthropist, contributing to various charitable causes in the Milwaukee area, including arts organizations and educational institutions. He also supported efforts to preserve Wisconsin's natural environment. He was a prominent figure in Milwaukee society and a member of several exclusive clubs.
