William Alfred Robinson (Australian politician)
William Alfred Robinson (1867-1938) was an Australian politician who served as a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly. He represented the electorate of Werris Creek from 1920 to 1927, initially as a member of the Progressive Party and later as a Nationalist.
Born in Tambar Springs, New South Wales, Robinson was involved in farming and grazing before entering politics. He played a significant role in agricultural advocacy and was known for his strong advocacy for rural interests within the parliament. His political career coincided with a period of significant political realignment in New South Wales, including the decline of the Progressive Party. He ultimately joined the Nationalist Party, which later became part of the United Australia Party. After leaving parliament in 1927, he returned to agricultural pursuits.
