Dollman (film)
Dollman is a 1991 American science fiction action film directed by Albert Pyun. The film stars Tim Thomerson as Brick Bardo, a New York City police officer who is shrunk to 12 inches tall by an experimental weapon and accidentally transported to the Bronx.
Once in the Bronx, Bardo finds himself battling a gang led by Braxton Red (Jackie Earle Haley). Red's gang mistakes Bardo, armed with his miniaturized .44 Magnum "Big Gun," for a toy and quickly discovers the error of their ways. Bardo teams up with Debi (Kamala Lopez), a local woman, to stop Red and his gang from terrorizing the neighborhood.
The film is known for its B-movie aesthetic, low budget special effects, and over-the-top violence. It is considered a cult classic within the direct-to-video science fiction genre. Dollman spawned two sequels, Dollman vs. Demonic Toys (1993) and Dollman vs. Sharkula (2024).
