Devo 2.0

Devo 2.0 was a short-lived musical project launched in 2006 by the band Devo. The concept involved recruiting a group of child musicians to perform Devo songs and create new material in a style similar to Devo. The project was intended to introduce Devo's music to a new generation and explore themes of devolution and corporate manipulation through the lens of childhood.

The Devo 2.0 lineup consisted of young musicians who were selected through auditions. The group released one studio album, DEV2.0, which featured covers of Devo classics and original songs. They also performed live and made several media appearances.

The project generated mixed reactions. Some praised it as a clever and innovative way to revitalize Devo's music, while others criticized it as being exploitative or a novelty act. Ultimately, Devo 2.0 was short-lived and disbanded after a relatively brief period of activity.
