Designer (album)

Designer is the second studio album by British singer-songwriter Aldous Harding, released on 26 April 2019 by 4AD. The album follows her 2017 release, Party, and was produced by John Parish.

Designer received widespread critical acclaim upon its release, praised for its enigmatic lyrics, Harding's distinctive vocal delivery, and the album's overall atmospheric and experimental sound. Critics noted a subtle shift in Harding's sound from the starker, more melancholic tone of Party to a slightly more textured and, at times, playful approach.

The album spawned several singles, including "The Barrel," which was released prior to the album and became one of Harding's most recognizable songs. Other singles included "Fixture Picture" and "Blend."

Designer charted in several countries, including New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and Australia, demonstrating Harding's growing international popularity. It was shortlisted for the 2019 Taite Music Prize.
