Mark Littell
Mark Littell (1953-2022) was an American professional baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Kansas City Royals (1973-1977) and the St. Louis Cardinals (1978-1982). He was known for his unusual sidearm pitching style and his role as a relief pitcher. Littell was a member of the Royals' American League West division-winning teams in 1976 and 1977. After his baseball career, he authored a book titled "On the Eighth Day God Created the Royals," a humorous account of his time with the Kansas City team. Littell was later involved in operating a sports memorabilia business and remained active in the baseball community. He passed away in 2022 at the age of 69.
