Declan Meehan (Gaelic footballer)

Declan Meehan is a former Gaelic footballer who played for the Galway senior inter-county team. A defender, he was a key member of the Galway team that won the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship in 1998, defeating Kildare in the final.

Meehan played club football for Caltra GAA. He was known for his strong tackling, marking ability, and composure on the ball. Throughout his inter-county career, he also won Connacht Senior Football Championship medals.

Following his retirement from inter-county football, Meehan remained involved in Gaelic games. He has taken on coaching roles at both club and county level. He is widely respected within Galway GAA circles for his dedication to the sport and his contributions both on and off the field.
