David Richards (rugby union, born 1954)
David Richards (born 1954) is a former Welsh international rugby union player. A centre, he played club rugby for Cardiff RFC and represented Wales on four occasions.
Richards made his Wales debut against France in Paris in 1976. He also played against Scotland, Ireland, and England in the same Five Nations Championship. Despite showing promise, he was not selected for Wales again after that year.
He was a consistent performer for Cardiff RFC, known for his strong running and solid defence. Following his playing career, Richards remained involved in rugby, contributing to various coaching and administrative roles at the club level.
