Hero (Clarence Clemons album)
Hero is the second solo album by American saxophonist Clarence Clemons, released in 1985. The album followed his debut album, Rescue, and continued his exploration of rock, pop, and R&B musical styles. Hero featured several guest musicians, including members of Clemons' band, the Red Bank Rockers. While the album didn't achieve the same commercial success as some of his work with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, it showcased Clemons' versatility as a musician and his ability to lead a project. Critical reception to the album was mixed, with some praising Clemons' saxophone playing and others finding the songwriting and overall production lacking. The album's singles did not reach significant chart success.
