David Jenkins (figure skater)

David Wilkinson Jenkins (born May 25, 1936, Akron, Ohio) is an American former figure skater. He is the 1960 Olympic champion, the 1957-1959 World champion, and the 1956-1960 U.S. national champion.

Jenkins was known for his strong compulsory figures, which contributed significantly to his competitive success. He retired from amateur skating after the 1960 Olympics to pursue a medical career. He is the younger brother of Hayes Alan Jenkins, also a former World and Olympic champion in figure skating. He graduated from Harvard Medical School and became a physician.
