David Clements (ice hockey)
David Clements is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He was drafted by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the 1994 NHL Entry Draft as their ninth-round pick, 230th overall.
Clements played junior hockey in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Spokane Chiefs and the Tri-City Americans. After being drafted, he spent several years in the minor leagues, primarily in the American Hockey League (AHL) and the International Hockey League (IHL). He played for teams such as the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks, the Baltimore Bandits, and the Houston Aeros.
Clements never played in the National Hockey League (NHL). After his time in North America, he moved to Europe, playing in various leagues including the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) in Germany and leagues in Austria and Switzerland.
His career spanned from the mid-1990s to the late 2000s. He was known as a stay-at-home defenceman focused on defensive responsibilities.
