David Bell (American football)

David Bell (born December 14, 2000) is an American football wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Purdue University.

Early Life and High School

Bell attended Warren Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a standout receiver, earning All-State honors and being named Indiana's Mr. Football in 2019. He was a highly-rated recruit, committing to Purdue University.

College Career

Bell played at Purdue from 2019 to 2021. He made an immediate impact, earning Freshman All-American honors and being named Big Ten Freshman of the Year. He consistently produced at a high level throughout his college career, becoming one of the most prolific receivers in Purdue history. He earned All-Big Ten honors multiple times and was a Biletnikoff Award finalist in 2021. He declared for the NFL Draft after his junior season.

Professional Career

Bell was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He signed his rookie contract with the Browns on May 13, 2022.
