Cello Concerto (Barber)
The Cello Concerto in A minor, Op. 22, is a concerto for cello and orchestra composed by Samuel Barber in 1945. It was commissioned by the Koussevitzky Music Foundation, and premiered on April 5, 1946, by the Boston Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Serge Koussevitzky, with Raya Garbousova as the soloist.
