Roger Maxwell (actor)
Roger Maxwell (1908-1971) was a British character actor known for his numerous supporting roles in British film and television productions from the 1940s through the 1970s. While not a leading man, Maxwell was a familiar face, frequently cast as authority figures such as military officers, doctors, lawyers, and businessmen. His roles often involved conveying a sense of understated competence or quiet authority.
Maxwell's film credits include appearances in films such as The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby (1947), Scrooge (1951), The Dam Busters (1955), The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956), Carrington V.C. (1955), The Curse of Frankenstein (1957), Ice Cold in Alex (1958), and The League of Gentlemen (1960).
