Kraksaan

Kraksaan is a town and district (kecamatan) in Probolinggo Regency, East Java, Indonesia. It served as the regency's capital until the capital was moved to Probolinggo city. Kraksaan is located along the northern coastal road of Java and is a significant trading center for the surrounding agricultural region. The town is known for its blend of cultures, reflecting its history as a port and trading hub. While the administrative functions have shifted, Kraksaan remains an important economic and social center within Probolinggo Regency. The local population is predominantly Javanese and Madurese, and the area is known for its agriculture, including mangoes and grapes.
