Les Snuls

Les Snuls were a Belgian surrealist and absurdist humorist group, primarily active from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s. They are best known for their television and radio programs, which often featured bizarre sketches, nonsensical situations, and subversive commentary on Belgian society and culture. Their humor was characterized by its deadpan delivery, unexpected plot twists, and use of wordplay and visual gags.

The core members of Les Snuls included Jan Bucquoy, Noël Godin, Frédéric Jannin, and Serge Steeman. They were influenced by figures like Monty Python and the Marx Brothers, but developed a distinct and uniquely Belgian comedic style.

Their television show, also called Les Snuls, gained a cult following in Belgium and parts of France for its unconventional format and daring humor. They also produced radio programs and a film titled Camping Cosmos (1996).

After the group disbanded in the mid-1990s, the individual members continued to work in various fields of entertainment, including film, television, comics, and writing. Their work continues to be remembered and appreciated for its innovative and often provocative humor.
