Dastaan (1972 film)
Dastaan is a 1972 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film directed by B. R. Chopra, starring Dilip Kumar, Sharmila Tagore, and Bindu. The film is a remake of Chopra's own 1951 film Afsana, which starred Ashok Kumar, Veena and Pran.
Dastaan tells the story of twin brothers, one good and one evil, both played by Dilip Kumar. The narrative revolves around mistaken identity, romance, and ultimately, justice. The film explores themes of morality, duality, and the consequences of one's actions.
The film's music was composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal, with lyrics by Anand Bakshi. Notable songs from the film include "Na Tu Zameen Ke Liye Hai" and "Tere Chehre Mein Woh Jadoo Hai."
