Dale Jones (baseball)
Dale Jones (born July 29, 1962) is a former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Toronto Blue Jays (1986-1989) and the Colorado Rockies (1993).
Jones was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 10th round of the 1983 MLB draft. He made his major league debut on April 11, 1986. Primarily a relief pitcher, Jones was a member of the Blue Jays team that won the American League East division title in 1987.
After spending time in the minor leagues following his stint with Toronto, Jones signed with the Colorado Rockies prior to their inaugural season. He pitched for the Rockies in 1993, his final season in MLB.
Following his playing career, Jones has been involved in coaching and baseball instruction. His MLB career totals include a record of 11-11, 4 saves, and a 4.22 ERA in 169 games pitched.
