Black Rider (TV series)

Black Rider is a Filipino action fantasy streaming television series produced by GMA Network. It premiered on GMA Telebabad on November 6, 2023, replacing Maria Clara at Ibarra. The series stars Ruru Madrid in the titular role as Elias/Black Rider, a motorcycle delivery rider who becomes a vigilante fighting against a powerful crime syndicate.

The series draws inspiration from the 1980s Filipino comics character of the same name, originally created by Carlo J. Caparas. However, the television adaptation presents a reimagined and updated version of the story and character.

The plot revolves around Elias's journey as he seeks justice for his family and community, battling the organized crime group known as the Golden Scorpion Syndicate led by its ruthless leader, Tiago played by Baron Geisler. Along the way, Elias allies with other individuals who have been wronged by the syndicate, forming a team dedicated to dismantling the criminal organization and exposing their corrupt activities.

The series features a blend of action sequences, fantasy elements, and social commentary, addressing issues such as corruption, poverty, and social inequality. It also explores themes of family, loyalty, and the fight for justice.

The cast includes Yassi Pressman, Matteo Guidicelli, Katrina Halili, and other notable Filipino actors.
