Dagningen

Dagningen is a Swedish word that translates to "the dawning" or "the morning twilight" in English. It refers to the period of time just before sunrise, when the sky begins to lighten but the sun is not yet visible above the horizon. It is the counterpart to "skymningen" (the twilight or dusk) which refers to the period just after sunset. The word evokes a sense of anticipation and the beginning of a new day. In some contexts, "dagningen" can also refer more generally to the early morning hours.
